So clean and wonderful!
This place was amazing! Clean and beautiful and just right for two! Loved all the little touches that made it that much more special and wonderful! It it fully equipped with everything you could want and or need.

A fantastic property

It is everything that is promised
We loved our little cottage. Baker City is what you hope every small town is, friendly and helpful. This cottage kept it original charm but updated everything else. Great location, a wonderful park nearby, and Debbie was even kind enough to call me when she discovered we had left some directions behind.

Great location, cozy getaway!
The location is not only fantastic, but the house itself is immaculate. Comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom. Having a washer & dryer available was great as well. We enjoy being able to cook at least a few meals on vacation which was a breeze in the kitchen and the back deck was perfect for relaxing in the evening. Overall, highly recommended!

Clean lovely cottage in charming neighborhood
Charming lovely cottage -Everything you could possibly need! Comfortable bed, great shower, fully equipped kitchen! Two leather reclining chairs after a long drive. Spotless!! Will stay again for sure!

Great location, friendly host, bed too soft
The location was superb- very walkable. Very well taken care of property, and Debi was very helpful and kind. My partner and I both found the bed to be too soft, causing back pain in each of us. If you have a bad back, this might not be the best fit.

AMAZING PLACE!

Perfect place in Baker
We went to Baker for a family reunion. DeWayne's Place has been perfectly appointed for 2 guests--it has everything one needs and no extraneous "stuff" to make it hard to find implements. It's extremely well maintained, has a nice deck out back with a view of a large vegetable garden. Off street parking. It is within walking distance to sightseeing downtown. There are a lot of extra touches, such as a large soaking tub, fluffy bathrobe, and comfortable living room recliners. We had a wonderful stay, and recommend it wholeheartedly. To make it even better, the owners are very nice.

Wonderful stay
House was a perfect place to stay in Baker City. Very clean. Beautiful kitchen. Local maps and visitor information also available in the house. I highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Totally Amazing Place for Total Solar Eclipse Visit
We found and booked DeWayne's Place for a week in advance of the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. What a beautiful and charming place it was. Perfect for two, and completely modern and updated inside and out. We had everything we needed, the house was very clean, and our hosts were a text away, or just next door if we needed anything. This was one of the nicest VRBO units we have rented. Full information about the area was provided, as the owner was previous head of Chamber of Commerce/Visitors Bureau. Pictures don't do it justice. Wild quail and goldinches were common each day. We enjoyed the entire solar eclipse from the front yard, sipping coffee and tea, instead of being tied up in monstrous traffic. Small but very comfortable
At 580 sq.ft. Dewayne's Place is small but very well appointed. The kitchen has new appliances (gas range with electric oven, 1100 watt microwave, big fridge), every conceivable cooking tool, plentiful dishes and flatware, a comfortable bathtub, quiet neighborhood and a recent remodel. Situated near the heart of Baker City, you can walk to downtown and numerous restaurants. Owner Debi has provided a generous supply of brochures for all your local outdoor and recreational needs. Watch for the covey of quail in the yard early in the mornings. Give Dewayne's a try, you won't regret it. Bob and Marcy Astoria, OR

Clean, new, modern, wonderful
We enjoyed our stay in Debi's one bedroom guest house! Books, movies, comfy chairs and a short walk to the grocery store, park and river trail. Thank you Debi!
